About Us

Seven Alliance is a consortium of Asia-Pacific key Population networks

Who we are

Seven Alliance is a consortium of Asia-Pacific networks of key populations and people living with HIV

Composed of APCOM, APN+, APNSW, APTN, ICW-AP, NAPUD, and Youth LEAD, the Seven Alliance serves as a unified, representative body for communities in all our diversities disproportionately affected by HIV/AIDS across the region. We aim to promote effective community leadership and advocate for CLM as a critical component of community-led responses. By sharing knowledge, resources, and information, our goal is to establish strong and sustainable CLM mechanisms with communities in all their diversities in the Asia Pacific region.

This collaboration among the regional networks is a reminder that without community action, engagement or support, reaching the regional and global targets on AIDS would be impossible. Community responses to HIV are essential to ending the AIDS epidemic; there is no response without them.

OUR STORY

This collaboration between the regional networks

In 2022, regional key population networks in the Asia Pacific region consolidated their efforts by jointly establishing the Asia Pacific Key Populations Consortium in 2022 known as Seven Alliance. The regional networks play a crucial role in engaging with national stakeholders and partners by safeguarding their constituencies from adverse impacts of government policies and actions that escalate vulnerabilities.
We ensure that regional and national HIV/AIDS strategies are inclusive, evidence-based, and responsive to the unique needs and challenges faced by marginalized communities. Combining the number of country partners, constituents, members and local focal points with all seven key populations network, the number of key populations reached and supported is immeasurable, and the impact of their collective work alone is undoubtedly significant.
