GC8 emphasizes on optimising all available resources and building sustainable financing pathways for national HIV, TB and Malaria responses, including for community-led responses. While this is the longer-term vision of Global Fund support to countries, it has been accelerated by rapid changes in the donor landscape.  Communities entering Window 3 and beyond need to walk into country dialogues with a clear understanding of the strategic shifts of GC8, potential transition and sustainability pathways, top community priorities and a good amount of fighting spirit to advocate for community needs in a rapidly changing world.
